Is it true that a house built on pier and beam foundation can't be refinanced?

Wants to get a cash-out refinance and has been advised that Fannymae or Freddymac (or whatever) won't refinance such a house even though it has been completely rebuilt and remodeled. Once all houses were constructed like this. The concrete foundation only came into prominence in the last half of the 20th century, as I understand. Were p%26amp;b homes not financeable back then?Is it true that a house built on pier and beam foundation can't be refinanced?
NO

It may be true that some mortgagees won't handle such loans

Doesn't matter what could be financed back then, . . . .this is NOW. . . .and back then, many didn't finance their homes, they bought only when they could afford to buy, building savings. . .

There were also limestone and fieldstone foundations before concrete foundations
