We are having a new house built?

and several of the rafters do not extend much past the top plate of the wall. there are about 7-9 of them in one area that do not connect to the Soffit and Facia boards or support the roof decking. they may only be 12-18 inches short. is this important enough to have the builder fix them or is it somethig that i should look past?We are having a new house built?
I think I would have a building inspection check on your job, sounds like it could be a problem down the road. Usually inspectors are required to look in on new home construction at several phases. However, if this builder has a repore with the inspectors his work could be known and this might slide through as checked when it has not been. Hope this helps. We are having a new house built?
HAVE THE BILDER FIX THAT BECOUSE IT COULD COUSE WEATHER DAMAGE IT COULD COLAPS FROM SNOW THE WIND COULD GET UNDERNEATH AND PULL UP THE SHINGLE
if it's not right, if it doesn't look right, if it doesn't seem right to you...then ask that it be corrected. You will be living with it later, and if you're questioning it now you will be questioning it later.

It's probably part of the price anyway, so have them make it ';right';, now.
Don`t take any chances. Fix it before it`s to late.
