Get yourself a garden sprayer and use HOT water, spray the ceiling and scrape away, get yourself some 3 mil plastic for your floor and if possible remove all the furnishings from the room, once removed prime your ceiling and inspect for imperfections cause you most likely will have some touching up with joint compound, Good luck Les the painterWhat is the easiest way to get rid of the popcorn ceiling in my house (built in 1992)?

I hate those. Scrapper and elbow greese unless someone has a better idea.
over rock with .25'; sheetrock. it will be like putting new without all the demo.
scrape it off if done carefully it will leave a orange peel finish.
or skim coat over it with finish plaster
USG diamond brand finish plaster
