Do you think non-citizens should be able to own a house/building in the United States?

Non-citizens don't pay taxes, nor vote---yet, they seem to own businesses here, making money off the U.S. citizen, and buying houses %26amp; buildings when our citizens are losing their homes left %26amp; right---if they're lucky enough to own one in the first place.

It doesn't seem right to me---what do you all think about it all?Do you think non-citizens should be able to own a house/building in the United States?
Legal Aliens, (people on work visas, or on green card etc.) who are able to pay mortgage should be allowed to buy property, it will increase the chances of investment %26amp; keeping the money within country.Do you think non-citizens should be able to own a house/building in the United States?
legal residents, living, working and paying taxes, are able to have their home,if they can afford it,

they contribute to the US economy, yes, they do pay taxes, and why? should they not own their home if in the US? so? because they are not citizen? they should rent?

non citizen but legally in the US do pay taxes, they have the same rights as US citizen except # voting #

if US citizen are losing their home? do not blame legal immigrants,

blame the economy, the banking system, bad investment, but not the legal immigrants, some of them lost their home also.
What about Foreign Business and Home Investors who do not have to live in the country, but can own these things? The requirements that they create jobs here. Or low income housing.

What about legal resident green card holders? Or permanent residents who are on the waiting list for citizenship? I think they should be able to own businesses and own homes if they intend on staying in the country and assimilating.

All of which also pay property taxes.

As for illegals... No they should not have those options available to them.
Yes, So what that there are american citizens who don't have homes or businesses, I since a little jealousy on your part,

';';buying houses %26amp; buildings when our citizens are losing their homes left %26amp; right---if they're lucky enough to own one in the first place';';

Well if they can afford it,,, no lets not let them have things that they can afford because there are citizens who don't have it,,lmfao,, are you serious???? and sorry to tell you sweetie I don't know where you get your information, but you are not going to tell me that non-citizens don't pay taxes, cuz if they don't i'd like to know why they're taking federal, state, social security out of my husbands checks,,, I guess ignorance is bliss
I am not a citizen, I came to the USA 8 years ago to work for a company founded in the UK by a British person (I am also British) Our US Branch isn't large, but it provides employment for several people, incl me - but all the others are American Citizens who might otherwise be unemployed. I pay taxes, I pay Social Security - will I ever be able to get anything form Social Security when I retire - probably not, so by your logic as a non citizen I should be exempt from the contribution right? My parents own a house here, they are retired.... and are non citizens... but they wanted a house in FL, so they bought one, spent $40K in renovation, BTW they used an American for the renovations... they employ a landscaper, again, an America. They pay property tax, they are not entitled to home stead exemption as they are not citizens... they eat out, buy groceries, pay for cable, go on vacations is the USA... so guess what, they take nothing from the US but give alot of money to stay in FL cos they enjoy the climate. So perhaps you should check your facts before making all these statements.
uh mm how do you work that gem of info out, I am NOT a citizen yet I co own a house with my husband, why should I be punished because some people do not know how to budget their money and we pay a LOT of taxes, which you would know if you owned your own home.

As for taking the oath, well I might do that in due course, but till then I will happily stay in the house WE own, along with the other things we have worked hard for, and trust me along with the house and the cars etc etc and both of us working I pay enough into the country.
anyone who owns a business in the US pays taxes in the US. Anyone who owns property in the US pays whatever property tax is required.

kicking them out might sound good on paper, but foreign investment is pretty important to our economy. how many Americans are employed by Toyota? tens of thousands.

i'm not saying it's good for big portions of the economy to be in foreign hands, but that's globalization, and there's not much we can do about it without screwing the economy even worse.
Thank the Democratic congress for overturning the law that Bush had on regulating the banks. The banks started giving money to ANYONE that had a hearbeat regarless if they were legal citizens or not.........and look where that got us.
Non citizens should have no rights given to citizens.
Illegals no but som people have work visas which is perfectly legal.
Permanent residents and people legally going through the process would beg to differ.
Well, they owe two thirds of our national debt, so what is a house?
As long as they are legally living in the US then yes.
Not just no but HELL NO.

I'm suggesting that they get kicked out.
i agree. if they don't pay taxes, then get out of OUR country!!!
