Has there ever been a recorded case of a house/building sinking into the lagoon under Venice?

The whole city is experiencing massive flooding and is sinking the recent solution is being widely argument as most say it will add to the problem rather then fix it. (That is large sea gates that close the 40+ times a year when it floods up to 9 feet). Experts agree that with in 50 years the city will be gone!

God Bless You and The Southern People.Has there ever been a recorded case of a house/building sinking into the lagoon under Venice?
I find no reference to any buildings actually sinking, however in many old houses the staircases used to unload goods are flooded, making the ground floor uninhabitable. Many Venetians moved to the upper floors and continued their lives.Has there ever been a recorded case of a house/building sinking into the lagoon under Venice?
I live in Venice, and I would answer your question but it's beneath me.
