House building and designing career?

I'm planning on going to college soon, and I want a career where I can design houses, and actually build them too, but I don't know if whether or not there is a specific career that involves both, because I want to be able to design and work/build on/in all aspects of the house (painting, walls, carpet, counters, outside, roofing, flooring, framing, EVERYTHING, etc,...). I also wanna know how much my yearly income would be, but I'm not sure. I've heard that sometimes you can make between $80,000 and $120,000 or more (depending in which field you work in) but I wanna work in both. Can someone please help me?House building and designing career?
