Most cases they use SYP#2 for dimensional lumber
There are several types and grades of wood available. They'll let you know what to use. Just give them your plans, and they should be able to quote all the products
The rest of the house(these days) is engineered laminates, joists, subfloor, etc....common sense stuff for the lumber guys
