Unadopted road, used to get to house building site?

vibration, dirt, noise, a bad dip in this unmade road outside our houses, developers say we will look at the dip, put 20 mile hr signs up, they then do nothing, earliest lorriy 6.08 am, council say its an unadopted road so they can do nothing, can developers just ignore residents already living here, are there any rules they should follow?Unadopted road, used to get to house building site?
sorry, but i'd guess that you'd have to make a huge effort for small concessions.

but there must be a lot of legal expertise out there in this field, if it's more about principals rather than expense.Unadopted road, used to get to house building site?
I suspect the council are right, wearing their highway hat. However, I'd be inclined to speak to the Environmental Health people regarding the nuisance.
Leave it as it is, and enjoy being able to justify buying a 4x4 to environ-mentalists.
no they cant Have a word with the site manager to get them to show some consideration. If this fails get your own back phone the local paper get on to your m.p. You'll win eventually.
If there was something at the end of the road they wanted they would not only fix the road for you but they would bill you for the repairs. extend the rightaway with due compensation to you and then raise your property tax and tax you on the section of you property they took for the rightaway and won't let you use.
