as a sims 2 player I am very happy with the building capabilities and the detail of the houses - in the sims 3 how do the houses compare? Is it as detailed and can you still make nice gardens!

The sims 3 house building is a lot better from the sims 2. You can customize a lot of things, from the exact colour you want your walls to be to the patterns on them.
You can also still make very nice gardens. Even better ones in my opinion with the new brush tool that lets you paint so many different things onto to lawn, from flowers to pretty stone paths.What is house building like on Sims 3?
I made a pond with trees/shrubs/flowers all around last night and it turned out really well. I'm sorry to say that I didn't have a good enough computer to run Sims2 back when it came out so I never really got to experiment with anything in it. I really like the fact that they have ground paints for flowers, paths, etc.
