How do I buy a house built by a builder that left town and is out of business?

The house is sitting there vacant. On the local tax site it shows the taxes have not yet been paid for 2008. There are actually 2 or 3 in the neighborhood. How do I go about getting information on purchasing one?How do I buy a house built by a builder that left town and is out of business?
